Venus

In Roman mythology, Venus was said to be the daughter of Jupiter, although she was born of the Sea and the Sky and came to earth in a shell from under the sea. The Roman goddess of love and beauty was originally a vegetation goddess and patroness of gardens and vineyards. Venus had a son named Cupid, the mischievous and winged god of love. He was her constant companion and, armed with bow and arrows, shot the arrows of desire into the bosoms of both gods and men. He later married Psyche, and they produced a child named Pleasure. Venus is, of course, associated with affairs of the heart. The last great temple of Venus was built by the emperor Hadrianus near the Colosseum in 135 AD. |

Sam is an avid horologist and in conjunction with Johnson Matthey, created the first wristwatch to be produced in the United States using a .999 gold ingot as the actual dial in a limited edition of wristwatches and within days of the New York Holocaust (Sam’s terminology for the unwarranted attack on our country by terrorists) produced his 9/11 wristwatch. The depictions of these two watch collections, one featuring Sam’s original pewter designs and the second one featuring Amy Benavides’ graphical interpretations of these designs have had virtual representations created and Sam’s idea is for both collections to use the same band tying both versions together into a singular collection of exciting astrological wristwatches. |
Check back soon, as we’ll be adding to our collection of tee shirts, tote bags, pendants and mugs a series of 11-oz. ceramic mugs (in colbalt blue) and 13-oz. executive crystal glasses, both with double platinum imprints, as well as tank tops, tiles, coasters (a tile with a cork backing), notebooks, jigsaw puzzles, greeting cards and many more exciting items proudly displaying our Odyssey Collection™ and Odysssey II Collection™ images.
We’ve also added two watch collections, (using virtual images) one displaying the original Odyssey Collection™ pewter designs and one displaying the colorful graphical interpretations created by Amy Benavides in the Odyssey II Collection™. Both our virtual watch collections share a common band design, a titanium case and a scratch-proof mineral crystal.

Just as Sam tied the T-shirt designs together by using the same frame for both Carolyn Rose’s paintings and Amy’s art, he has tied the two watch collections together by using a common watch band for both collections.
Now he is hoping to get a company like Swatch® or Fossil® to like the collections enough to license the designs in order to bring these exciting watch collections to the marketplace. Of course if Candy Tien of Sweda® wanted the collection this too would please Sam immensely.
